Join Our First Ever Jellycat Hunt

Get ready people! Something wonderfully whimsical is about to happen, and we at Maple Gifts are bursting with excitement to tell you all about it!

Starting Monday, November 24th, we are launching our very first Jellycat Hunt!

That's right, a week of fun, friendly detective work, and the chance to win an incredibly snuggly prize. We've loved seeing how much joy our Jellycat collection brings, and now we want to turn that joy into an adventure that literally spans our fantastic high street.

How to Become an Official Jellycat Hunter

Ready to join the fun? The first step is to officially sign up as a Jellycat Hunter on the Maple Gifts website! We need your details so we can keep you in the loop, especially if you're playing virtually.

  • When: Monday, November 24th, through Saturday, November 29th.
  • The Prize: One lucky hunter will win a super-cute Amuseable Peanut Après Ski
  • The Goal: Unravel a series of daily clues to spell out your final destination, and hiding place of the little Peanut.

The Hunt: Physical vs. Virtual

Whether you're local to Porthcawl or joining the chase from afar, we've made sure everyone can get in on the action!

In-Person Hunters

This is your chance to explore! Every day, a new clue will be posted in the Maple Chocolates window.

  1. Use the clue to figure out which other brilliant store on John Street you need to go to.
  2. Once you find the correct place, you will be given the daily answer on a card (which will be a single letter).
  3. Collect all daily answers throughout the week!

Virtual Hunters

Can't make it to Porthcawl? No problem!

  1. A clue will be emailed to you every evening at 6:00 PM.
  2. The clue will require you to perform a similar action or piece together information to find the daily answer.
  3. Collect all daily answers!

The Grand Finale & Entry

By the end of the week, the letters you've collected will spell out the name of a final store or place on the High Street. If you're hunting in person, you must go to that store or place by 5 PM on Friday, 28th November to answer a final question, fill in your golden ticket form, and pop it into our treasure chest.

If you're a virtual hunter, you will receive instructions via the normal 6 PM email on Friday, 28th.

The winner of Peanut Après Ski will be drawn and announced on Saturday, November 29th, via our Instagram Live.

A Celebration of Porthcawl

While the chance to win a Jellycat is certainly exciting, our biggest hope for this hunt is that it brings a little lighthearted fun and joy to your week.

More importantly, though, we’re hosting this event to shine a spotlight on the many other fantastic, unique stores that pepper our High Street. Porthcawl is full of passionate business owners and hidden gems, and we hope this Jellycat Hunt encourages you to discover and support some of our wonderful neighbours. It's a true community effort, and we couldn't be happier to play a part!
